Surfaces

HAR-TRU : The HAR-TRU brand surfacing is the most popular "HAR-TRU" type surface in the United States, and is a standard in the clay court industry. HAR-TRU is made from billion year old Pre-Cambrian metabasalt found in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This rock is crushed, screened, and mixed in the precise proportions necessary to produce a stable surface. LEE Tennis Products' dedication to quality has made HAR-TRU the number one selling surface of its type in the United States.

HAR-TRU can be used for both new court construction or for top dressing. A layer of these finely crushed, green rock particles is installed over a porous base of crushed, stone aggregate to produce a finished surface. A HAR-TRU court can also be built over existing clay, asphalt, or concrete courts. Many clubs have already converted their hard courts to HAR-TRU to satisfy player demand.

HydroCourt :
HydroCourt as we know it today is a result of a simple, yet ingenious idea of building a tennis court on top of a controlled water reservoir.
Some advantages of the HydroCourt System :
Built to last-- hundreds of courts built, some in service over 14 years.
Courts require minimal maintenance, with rolling almost totally eliminated.
Uses substantially less water and a minimum of surface material.
Simple control system using no electric valves, switches, sensors, or other devices to malfunction.

Red Clay
HAR-TRU replaced the majority of the local red clay courts in the U.S. over the years because of the inconsistency of the red clay. HAR-TRU became a standardized product that could be consistently replaced and cared for over a period of years. The fact that it was made of stone also increased its stability and made maintenance much easier and more consistent. The only thing the green could not replace was the traditional look and feel of the red clay.
